E ki tava liilá álo cháyár khelá
Kabhu bhálabásá kabhu avahelá

প্রাণের দেবতা কাছে এসো
আঁখিতে অঞ্জন অধরে রঞ্জন
চির নিরঞ্জন কাছে বসো

তব আসার লাগি’ যুগ যুগ জাগি’
বসে’ যে আছি আমি তন্দ্রা তেয়াগি’
নিশি হ’ল ভোর ওগো চিতচোর
শেফালী সুবাসের নাহি রেশও

এ কি তব লীলা আলো-ছায়ার খেলা
কভু ভালবাসা কভু অবহেলা

O ever spotless one,
sit close beside,
with eyes decorated
and lips coloured.

Expecting your arrival,
I sit and wait ages since,
casting aside laziness.

Night turned into morning.
O captivator of mind,
come in the fragrance of the shefa'li flower.

What a liila' game of yours is this,
comprising both light and shade,
sometimes loving
and sometimes ignorant of me?

I am but a mere particle of yours.
O, great entity,
