Púrva aruńácale tumi jabe esechile
Ghanaghor amánishá ket́echilo dharátale
Tomár kirań peye kamala kumuda gáye
Vikashita hayechilo madhurimá jale sthale

Áṋdhárer háhákár rahilo ná tár par
Marutrśá gelo elo sabujer samáhár
Álor pelaba kole ańu-paramáńu dole
Shuru halo itihás carácare nabhoniile

Eker carań ghire ekeri mantra dhare
Sabái chande gáne chut́e cale eki kole

পূর্ব অরুণাচলে তুমি যাবে এসেছিলে
ঘনঘোর অমানিশা কেটেছিলো ধরাতলে
তোমার কিরণ পেয়ে কমল কুমুদ গায়ে
বিকশিত হয়েছিলো মধুরিমা জলে স্থলে

আঁধারের হাহাকার রহিলো না তার পর
মরুতৃষা গেলো এলো সবুজের সমাহার
আলোর পেলব কোলে অণু-পরমাণু দোলে
শুরু হলো ইতিহাস চরাচরে নভোনীলে

একের চরণ ঘিরে একেরই মন্ত্র ধরে
সবাই ছন্দে গানে ছুটে চলে একই কোলে

With your advent
in the eastern sky
earth's cimmerian darkness was dispelled.

In your radiant light
sweet loti and lilies bloomed;
the raucous laughter of the dark
was removed.

Desert thirst was quenched
and verdant beauty overflowed.

Atoms and molecules
vibrated
in your soft bosom of light
and history began to unfold.

In the blue void
a universe
expressed and unexpressed
exploded.

All creatures chant the mantra
of one,
the supreme,
and clinging to his feet
they gyrate
in rhythmic dance
towards their source.
