Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Sabár maner manane rayecho
Lukáye thákite kena go cáo
Eta parimal eta suvimal
Dúre theke tabu kena tákáo

Jár keha nái tumi tár ácho
Guńahiine guńa bhariye diyecho
Guńátiita haye nirguńa tumi
Alakśye theke kena nácáo

Sabár sharań tumi asharań
Sabár vettá tumi avedan
Sabár urdhve thákiyáo kena
Otahprotajoge madhu mákháo

O lord,
You exist in the ideation of all minds,
so why do you wish to remain hidden?

You are clean and fragrant,
so why do you wish to witness
from a distance only?

You are for those who have none.
You filled attributes amongst those lacking qualities.
Although above attributes,
You are without attributes (nirgun'a).

Why do you wish to remain unseen?
You are the shelter of all,
and yet, you remain shelterless.

O lord of all,
why do you remain above all feelings,
above everything?
In individual and collective contact with the microcosm,
You bestow sweetness.
