Sadhuta saralata tejasvita gune is the 399th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1] This song is the fifth in a series of six chronological songs that briefly retell Sarkar's rich children's story, The Golden Lotus of the Blue Sea. Each song amplifies metaphorical elements in the story and aspects of the plot.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Sádhutá saralatá tejasvitá guńe
Sámánya lokao asádhárań hay
Rájár chot́a chile e guńe guńii chilo
Parii dhariváre se egiye jáy

(Niil sarovare) kamalakuiṋje
Atandra prahará basálo se
Anindra ráte prati praharete
Phúler nishánáte tákiye chilo se
Nishiithera sheśe bhaye bhaye ese
Phúl niye uŕe parii páláy

Pakśiráj cái parii dharite gele
Kumár sei khoṋje trilok caśe phele
Avasheśe ek dánavera deshe
Ghoŕár khoṋj peye hájir halo se
Sabár bhálabásá nijer shubha áshá
Shubha cetanáy ghoŕá se háte páy

Asádhu dánav mánila mánav
Shaktite rańe kakhano khát́o nay

Due to honesty, simplicity and spiritedness,
ordinary human beings become extra ordinary.

The youngest prince was graced with these qualities.
He too set out to catch the fairy.
He went to the blue sea
and set up evervigilant sentries
around the lotus grove.

He spent a sleepless night,
watching over the blooming flower.
At the end of the night,
the fairy came,
nervously plucked the lotus
and flew away.

To catch the fairy, that magic horse was needed.
The young prince moved heaven and earth
in search of that magic horse.

Finally he came to the land of the demon
and discovered the horse.

He captured that capricious creature
with the love of all the needy folk
whose hearts he had won.

Due to the righteous auspicious wish of his own
and righteous intelligence,
the dishonest demon finally admitted
that human beings
are not inferior to demons in valour.
