Tomáke dekhechi manovane (ámi)
Kusuma mádhurii manthan kari
Hásitechile madhuránane

Vishve já kichu ákarśańiiya
Já kichui bhálo varańiiya
Tomáte ádhrta tomáte nihita
Tomákei cáy gahane

Ámio tomár ogo rúpakár
Dúre phele dio ná priiti ámár
Tomáke paráte gáṋthá phulahar
Rekhechi jiivane jatane

সেদিন নিশীথে জ্যোৎস্না সুমিতে
তোমাকে দেখেছি মনোবনে (আমি)
কুসুম-মাধুরী মন্থন করি’
হাসিতেছিলে মধুরাননে

বিশ্বে যা’ কিছু আকর্ষণীয়
যা’ কিছুই ভালো ররণীয়
তোমাতে আধৃত তোমাতে নিহিত
তোমাকেই চায় গহনে

আমিও তোমার ওগো রূপকার
দূরে ফেলে’ দিও না প্রীতি আমার
তোমাকে পরাতে গাঁথা ফুলহার
রেখেছি জীবনে যতনে

On that night the moonlight was well-measured;
In my mental garden Yourself I have seen.
Stirring a flower's sweetness,
With a honeyed countenance You were smiling.

In the universe whatever is attractive,
Anything that is good, fit to be sought after,
In You it is contained, in You it is situated;
It longs for You only, at somewhere hard to reach.

I also, I am Yours, oh Beauty Sculptor;
Don't far-discard my love.
To place on Thee, a floral wreath is strung;
