Lyrics

Roman script Bengali script Translation

Shárada práte mor ektáráte
Shepháliigandhe man gáne meteche

Manda madhur haoyáte
Shishire bhejá martyabhúmite
Nritye tále dhará chut́e caleche

Áj álor pathe nái meghera máná
Niilákáshe pákhii sab meleche d́áná
(Ei) Avárita pariveshe práńer naváveshe
Uddvel hiyá kothá bhese caleche

Áj plávaner váridhárá kame eseche
Jege ut́há bhúmi nava sáje sejeche
Bhulok dyulok májhe nandana madhu sáje
Ke go nije dhará dile sabára káche

In the autumn dawn on my one-string lute,
In the fragrance of night jasmine, mind is intoxicated with song.

In the sweet, gentle breeze,
On this earth, wet with dew,
In dance and rhythm, the world rushes along.

Even the clouds are not barred from moving on the path of light.
Unfolding their wings, birds soar in the sky.
In this climate of freedom, there is a new touch of joy.
Where drifts my overflowing heart?

Today, the flood of the river has receded.
The land that has emerged wears new garments,
Sweet and charming garments from Earth and the realms above.
Who are You who comes near enough to be hugged by all?
