Hemanter ei karuń táne
Kánan bhará vyathár gáne
Tár manane kintu kotháo
Kona vyathái tháke ná
Gandha madhu nái bá thákuk

শেষ হেমন্তে হিমেল হাওয়ায়
কমল কেন ফোটে না
মধুবিহীন ফুলগুলিতে
মধুপ কেন জোটে না
বনে কমল নাই বা ফুটুক
মনে কমল ফোটে গো
ফুলে মধুপ নাই বা জুটুক
চিত্তে মধুপ জোটে গো
হেমন্তের এই করুণ তানে
কাননভরা ব্যাথার গানে
তার মননে কিন্তু কোথাও
কোন ব্যাথাই থাকে না
গন্ধমধু নাই বা থাকুক
গন্ধমধু উদ্গীত হোক
তা'র আশিষে করব মোরা
নোতুন ধরা রচনা

At the end of autumn,
In the frosty air,
Why does the lotus not bloom?
Around the nectarless flowers,
Why do the bees not hover?
Though in the forest,
The lotus does not blossom,
In the mind it blooms.
Though around the flowers,
The bees do not hover,
They hover around the nectar of mind.
In the melancholic melody of autumn,
The forest is filled with the song of sadness.
Yet, thinking of Him, no pain remains.
At the end of autumn,
In the frosty air,
Why does the lotus not bloom?
Though there is no sweet fragrance in the flower,
Let fragrance flow from our songs.
With His blessing, we will create a new world.
