Coming with the soft breeze,
Arriving on a breeze refreshing,
who is he who swung the flowers?
To which flower did You give a shaking?
At the end of pride and vanity,
Whose sweetness did You take without asking?

At the end of pride and unchecked emotions,
You arrived and left without warning;
whose sweetness did you take away without asking?
Oh the Moon, better that feels!
By dint of You having appeared,
Disquietude, it simply does increase.
But You came not for that indeed;
With form and color You delighted psyche.

You came and went away without informing me.
Such a liila, so extraordinary,
How much more charming this is, o lord!
Every minute new, continually!

In Your love, all hope exceeding,
Your coming announcement
You gave everything and asked for nothing.
would only have increased curiousity.
This is why you came without informing me,
intoxicating my mind with beauty and colour.

What a new divine game this is,
ever new each moment!
Your love is beyond expectations.
You gave all without expecting anything in return.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Snigdha samiire ese
Kon phule dolá dile
Mán abhimáneri sheśe
Kár madhu ná bale nile

Ná bale ese gele
Beshii bhálo láge je vidhu
Baliyá ásile pare
Utkańt́há báŕe shudhu
Tái ki ná bale ele
Rúpe ráge man mátále

Eki liilá abhinava
Prati kśańe nava nava
Áshátiita priitite tava
Sab dile náhi cáhile

Arriving on a breeze refreshing,
To which flower did You give a shaking?
At the end of pride and vanity,
Whose sweetness did You take without asking?

You arrived and left without warning;
Oh the Moon, better that feels!
By dint of You having appeared,
Disquietude, it simply does increase.
But You came not for that indeed;
With form and color You delighted psyche.

Such a liila, so extraordinary,
Every minute new, continually!
In Your love, all hope exceeding,
You gave everything and asked for nothing.
