Leaving aside and ignoring all,
Having shunned everyone, forsaken everybody,
Whose grace do you seek?
Toward Whom do you peer and pray for mercy?

Below your feet,
At your feet has stayed the ground, firm and stern;
You left a hard and strong land.
Head upraised you've gone away, kissing blue heavens.
You went up high,
Gazing up and chanting songs of the Boundless,
as if kissing the blue sky.
In a life without speed, you've attained dynamism.

Looking upwards,
From someone else nothing do you want or get;
singing the song of the infinite,
There is no boasting right in a bird's nest.
You attained acceleration in movement deprived life.
Though Earth's hostage, you don't bow to others;
You do not expect from anyone.
Ever with your head held high, them do you humble.
You display no ego when providing shelter to birds.
As symbol of this earth,
You never suppress.
With head held high, i ever salute you.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Su uccashir vanaspati (tumi)
Sabáre eŕiye sabáre cháŕiye
Krpá jáca tákiye káhára prati

Padatale raye geche sukat́hor drŕha bhúmi
Uṋcu shire cale gecha ákásh niilimá cumi
Úrdhva páne ceye asiimer gán geye
Gatihiin jiivanete peyecha druti

Káro sauṋge kona cáoyá páoyá nei
Vihager áshray kona ahamiká nei
Dharár pratibhu tumi kákeo rákha ná dami
Uṋcu shire sadá karo táháre nati

Head held so very high, you are the tall tree.
Having shunned everyone, forsaken everybody,
Toward Whom do you peer and pray for mercy?

At your feet has stayed the ground, firm and stern;
Head upraised you've gone away, kissing blue heavens.
Gazing up and chanting songs of the Boundless,
In a life without speed, you've attained dynamism.

From someone else nothing do you want or get;
There is no boasting right in a bird's nest.
Though Earth's hostage, you don't bow to others;
Ever with your head held high, them do you humble.
