Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Sumukhe ásiyá dánŕáo prabhu tumi
Nayana bhariyá dekhibo tomáy
Manera kánane surabhi rańane
Rauṋ berauṋer phuler shobháy

(Mahákásher mata) Manke dáo bhare
Niiháriká candane shuci kare
Eso dhiire dhiire snigdha samiire
Runujhunu jhunu núpura páy

(Madhula madhumákhá) Manera madhumás
Náce gáne táte áne go ullás
Tomár hásit́i mohana báṋshiit́i
Prápti sukhe jena more mátáy

O lord, come and stand in front of me
so that i may ever look at you to my heart's content.
Come into my mental garden.
Fill my mind with fragrance and murmur
Fill it with decorations of colourful flowers.
Fill that great sky of my mind!

Purifying the galaxies with sandalwood paste,
come slowly with a gentle breeze
and a soft jingle bell sound.

In this autumn of sweetness,
bring enthusiasm and festivity,
bring dance and songs.

Let me become intoxicated
by the happy attainment of your smile
and the sound of your flute.
