Svapane dekhechi tumi asiyacho is the 1468th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Svapane[nb 2] dekhechi tumi ásiyácho
Sakal áṋdhár náshiyá
Mananer májhe rauṋ dharáyecho
Mane práńe bhálabásiyá

Kálo kuheliká ghire chilo more
Dekhitám náko táhár báhire
Ek lahamáy se kuhelii cire
Jyotidhárá elo bhásiyá

Ámitva niye chot́a bhávanáy
Bandii chilum svárthakáráy
Paridhi báŕále sei bhávanáy
Bhúmá pariveshe ániyá

O lord,
I saw in dream
that you came to destroy all darkness.

With unconditional love,
You applied the colour of devotion to my mind.

Dark fog surrounded me,
I could not see outside of it.

In a flash,
piercing through the mist,
a flow of effulgence appeared.

I was sentenced to jail for selfishness,
carrying mean egoistic thoughts.
By increasing the circumference of my thoughts,
You brought me into a universal, cosmic environment.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ In the audio file and some Roman-script versions, this word is given as svapan. However, preference is given here to the last-published Bengali version.[1]
