O lord,
In a dream I have seen: You had entered
I dreamt that you secretly came to my home.
In my flower garden in concealment.
Sleep You burst not even, and no word You uttered;
Who knows what it is You'd witnessed!

However, you did not break my sleep,
How many blooms were dressed in the garden?
You did not speak to me,
How many weeds were under the painted pavilion?
Who knows what it was you observed.
How much of the fruit was densely succulent?
Awake and diligent, would I have shown it?

How many flowers bloomed
Asleep and insensate, silently in private,
in the garden that i decorated?
I keep on crying in my bolted residence.
How many trees and creepers
But if once inviting me for purpose to uplift,
were present in the colourful canopy?
Your physical visit, would it have been desolate?
How many juicy intensely sweet fruits
had carefully been placed there
that i saw on awakening?

I was unconscious
in deep sleep
in isolated silence,
and continued crying in my choked home.

If you would have called
and lifted at least once,
we would have been face to face intimately.

Svapane dekhechi tumi esechile is the 1997th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Svapane dekhechi tumi esechile
Mor málaiṋce gopane
Ghum bháuṋgáo ni katháo kao ni
Kii je dekhechile ke jáne

Kata phul chilo sájáno bágáne
Kata tarulatá rauṋer vitáne
Kata phal chilo sarase saghane
Jege dekhátum jatane

Ghume acetan niirave nibhrte
Káṋdiyá giyáchi ruddha gharete
Ekbár jadi d́ákiyá tulite
Sákśát hato vijane

In a dream I have seen: You had entered
In my flower garden in concealment.
Sleep You burst not even, and no word You uttered;
Who knows what it is You'd witnessed!

How many blooms were dressed in the garden?
How many weeds were under the painted pavilion?
How much of the fruit was densely succulent?
Awake and diligent, would I have shown it?

Asleep and insensate, silently in private,
I keep on crying in my bolted residence.
But if once inviting me for purpose to uplift,
Your physical visit, would it have been desolate?
