Who awakened my drowsy eyelids
On eyelids whelmed by sleep,
with a touch of light?
With luster's touch Who wakened me?
In the wretched shrine of psyche,
You set lamps alight everywhere.

Who lighted lamps in each direction
Inside mind was no luster;
of my poverty stricken mental temple?
[[Sadhana]] was unenlightened.

You made me illumined.

There was no light inside my mind.
My life lacked exuberance,
There was no spiritual practice of fulfillment.
Walking a path with few provisions.

Cloud-cast slumber You did burst asunder;
Who illuminated me
You told me to heed Your invitation.
with a glittering lamp of gems?

I had no tide in vitality,
neither any inspiration to move on the path.

Who woke me up,
breaking my intense and deep sleep,
and telling me to listen to his call?

Tandrahata ankhipallave is the 1107th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tandráhata áṋkhipallave
Álor parashe jágále ke
Daenyáhata manomandire
Pradiip jválále dike dike

Maner bhitare álok chila ná
Samvit bhará chila ná sádhaná
Ratnamaiṋjuśár diipe
Udbhásita kare dile ámáke

Práńer joyár chilo ná ámár
Path calivár kona sambhár
Ghanaghor ghum bháuṋgáiyá dile
Balile shuńite tava d́áke

On eyelids whelmed by sleep,
With luster's touch Who wakened me?
In the wretched shrine of psyche,
You set lamps alight everywhere.

Inside mind was no luster;
Sadhana was unenlightened.
With the lanterns of jewel-casket,[nb 2]
You made me illumined.

My life lacked exuberance,
Walking a path with few provisions.
Cloud-cast slumber You did burst asunder;
You told me to heed Your invitation.
