Thákibe ná jadi mor ghare Kena ele e madhura ráte Base áchi juga juga dhare Niti niti nava málá háte Eman komal keha nái Sabákár mukhe shuńe jái Tava mamatár giit gái Kena dekhi vipariit hate Eman kat́hor keha nái Vajreo tulaná ná pái Tabe ki bhálor lági tái Komale kat́hor halo sájite	থাকিবে না যদি মোর ঘরে কেন এলে এ মধুর রাতে বসে’ আছি যুগ যুগ ধরে’ নিতি নিতি নব মালা হাতে এমন কোমল কেহ নাই সবাকার মুখে শুণে’ যাই তব মমতার গীত গাই কেন দেখি বিপরীত হতে এমন কঠোর কেহ নাই বজ্রেও তুলনা না পাই তবে কি ভালোর লাগি’ তাই কোমলে কঠোর হ’ল সাজিতে	If at my house You will not remain, On this sweet night what's the reason that You came? Throughout many an age I do await, In my hand a new garland every day. So much gentle there is not anybody... From the mouth of everyone I go on hearing. And a song of Your affection I am singing; Why then is my outlook contrary? So much intense there is not anybody... Even with the thunder I find no analogy. Thus, in such case, does it meet Your liking That being tender You were framed as severe?^{[nb 2]}
