Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomáke peyechi maneri niipe ámi
Prasphut́ita niipe maneri madhupe
Ghuriyá beŕái smita parága cumi

Jáhá chilo mor áshár atiita
Anubhútir loke bháśáy anáhata
Se nandanamadhu shárada sahása vidhu
Rekhe gele mor manakorake tumi

Nám rúp guńopádhi kichu tava jáná nái
Jáni tumi tái ámi jáháke cái
Tomár karuńáy ahetukii krpáy
Álor játrápathe calibo náhi thámi

At the kadam tree of my mind, Yourself have I received;
With kadam in full blossom and the bee of psyche mine,
I traipse about, the laughing pollen kissing.

What had been beyond my expectation,
In the realm of sensation with unspoken tongue,
That sweet son of Nanda, the bright harvest moon,
You rescued the bud of my psyche.

Naught is obscure to You: name, form, or special traits;
And hence I realize You are everything I crave.
By Your kindness, by Your unearned grace,
I will move along light's journeyway unhalting.

Musical notations

Recordings

Currently, only the following audio rendition is available. Although the musical quality is acceptable, the first word of the final line in the second verse is incorrectly sung as raye instead of rekhe. In context, this makes little sense, and it greatly alters the meaning of the song.
