O Lord,
In Your heart, for me
is there no place for me in your heart?
Pray tell, is there no place?
Tell me.
If indeed no space remains,
Please say where's my relief.

If there is no room in it,
You're ruler of a mind that's huge;
how can i be protected?
There is no end to You.
Tell me.
Like a dot am I so wee,
A very puny being.
If You do not make room for me,
It won't grow Your repute.

You are the controller
In desperate hearts,
of the great cosmic mind,
You're the polestar,
there is no end to you.
In the rain on nights freezing,

A heat-smearing stream.
Resembling a small dot,
You exist for everybody,
I am a most meagre living being.
But You exist without me.

Without me You are,
If you do not provide me a place,
And this is Your dishonor.
it will not add to your glory.

In the midst of my defeated heart,
You are the pole star.

In cold nights and in rains,
You apply warm paste.

You are for all,
yet, you exist without me.
Your existence without me is your insult.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomár hiyáy ámár
Nei kii kona sthán (balo)
T́háṋi jadi ná tháke
Kotháy ámár tráń (balo)

Birát́ maner adhiish tumi
Nei je tomár iti
Kśudra vindusama ámi
Tuccha práńii ati
Ámáy jadi sthán náhi dáo
Bárbe náko mán (tomár)

Here jáoyá hiyár májhe
Tumi dhruvatárá
Shiiter ráter varśańete
Uśńa pralep dhárá
Sabár lági tumi ácho
Ácho ámi cháŕá
Ámi cháŕá tumi
E je tomár apamán

In Your heart, for me
Pray tell, is there no place?
If indeed no space remains,
Please say where's my relief.

You're ruler of a mind that's huge;
There is no end to You.
Like a dot am I so wee,
A very puny being.
If You do not make room for me,
It won't grow Your repute.

In desperate hearts,
You're the polestar,
In the rain on nights freezing,
A heat-smearing stream.
You exist for everybody,
But You exist without me.
Without me You are,
And this is Your dishonor.
