Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomár lági kata vyathá
Tumi táhár khoṋja rákho ná
Vishva niye vyasta tháko
Baŕa káje vyasta tháko
Chot́or kathá káne tolo ná

Ebár ámi mane mane
Phul tulibo vane vane
Málá geṋthe tomáy dite
Dekhi neve ki neve ná

Tomár sure geye jábo
Hrdaye jhaiṋkár tulibo
Tomáy ghire nece jábo
Dekhi dekho ki dekho ná

Due to You there's so much pain;
You don't keep track of that.
You keep busy with the universe–
With big works You stay engaged–
Trifling matters You don't hear.

At this time, in my mind,
I'll pick flowers from the woods.
The garland strung for offering to You,
Let me see if You receive it or not.

Your melodies shall i sing
With the deepest feelings of my heart
And i shall dance, a joyous dance
Around you, lord,
And will you then
Just steal a glance
At me, your devotee?

You do not understand, my lord,
The pain i deeply feel.
You really do not care to even know
My sorrow.
