Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomáre bhule bhesechi akúle
Karuńá karo he krpánidhán
Din cale geche vritháy akáje
Bhulechinu ámi tomári dán

Pát́hiyechile káj kare jete
Tava abhiipsá púrńa karite
Tomár dharáy rauṋ rúp dite
Pulake bharite sabára práń

Ekhan háte rayeche samay
Tava krpá hale ki bá náhi hay
Prárthaná jena pái varábhay
Káj kare jete gáite gán

O ocean of grace, having forgotten you,
i floated away shore less;
bestow your mercy to me.
my days passed in vain without proper action
as i had forgotten your gift to me.
you have sent me on this earth to do work,
to accomplish your aim.
to provide beauty and colour to your world,
to bring joy in the life of all beings.
Still some time is left in my hand.
if you shower a wee bit of your grace on me
then what cannot happen, everything is possible.
my only prayer is that you grant me
your varabhaya Mudra so that with that strength
i will be able to execute your task
while singing your song
and spreading your glory.
