Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomáre jabe dekhechinu
Jáni ni tava paricay
Mukher páne ceye mane
D́ekechinu giitimay

Tomár hásá tomár cáoyá
Bharlo práńer jata cáoyá
Surságare bháver ghore
Tomáy pelum manomay

Tomár májhe pelum ámi
Mánavatár priitir hár
Tomár d́áker pháṋke pháṋke
Mukta práńer kii jhaḿkár
Maner viińá tomáy liiná
Gáilo takhan dvidháhiiná
Tomár ráger anuráge
Tomári giit he cinmay

When i saw you, i didn't know your real identity.
I looked at you and realised
that you are the embodiment of music.

Your smile, your looks,
fulfilled all the longings of my heart.
In the ocean of melodies,
in the world of ideation,
I attained you.
O lord of my mind!

In you, i found the necklace of love for humanity.
Due to your calls there is a sweet rhythm
of emancipated souls.

The lyre of my mind sings your glories
without reservation.
Goaded by your love and attraction,
it sings only about you.
