Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomáre kari áhván
Práńe práńe gáne gáne
Cira sumahán he aḿshumán
Eso mor manavitáne

Dhará jáy náko ahaḿkáre
Báṋdhá jáy náko ciinánshuk d́ore
Tumi beṋdhe rákhiyácho dharáre
Eso mor nididhyásane

Buddhite tava vyákhyá cale ná
Vaeduśye ákhyá hay ná
Cúr haye jáy bháśár chalaná
Eso mor shravańe manane (tumi)

O lord, i invoke you;
call you, through earnestness of heart and songs.
O the ever great, brilliant,
come into the mental canopy of mine.
you cannot come into fold due to ego,
cannot be bound by the divided silk thread.
you have kept tied the earth,
come into my deep meditation.
it is not practical to explain about you by intellect,
it is also not possible to describe you by high learning.
the delusion of language gets pulverized in that attempt.
o lord, come into my hearing and meditation.
