Tomare shonate is the 2231st song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomáre shonáte
Gán geye gechi jiivana bhare
Jiivana bhare
Shono ki shono ná máni ná[nb 2]
Tabu gái tomári tare

Eso mor mana nilaye
Tháko udbhásita vijaye
Thákibo tomár sane nirbhaye
E vinati carańa pare

Hena sthán nái jethá tumi nái
Hena bháv nái jethá tomáre ná pái
Tabu bali eso baso man máne ná
Cáoyá áṋkhite jhare

That it may be heard by Thee,
Throughout life a song I've gone on singing,
Making life replete.
Whether You hear or not, I don't mind it;
Still I sing for the sake of You only.

At abode of my psyche, please appear;
And exposed, remain there in victory.
With You I'll stay fearlessly;
It's my prayer neath lotus feet.

There's no place where You are not,
No thought where You I do not spot.
Mind doesn't admit, but still I say "Come, sit";
From the eyes exudes longing.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ At the end of this line, the words máni ná are repeatedly sung incorrectly as jáni ná. The change of meaning is significant and hence unacceptable.
