You keep pleasing the world.
You keep pleasing the world.
With matchsticks of Your splendor,
With matchsticks of Your splendor,
You have let us light our lamp.
You've let us light our lanterns.

Wherever i gaze, be it near, be it far
Near or far, whatever we perceive,
I see nothing but you.
Other than You, nothing else we see.
Whatever i think, in the present, in the past
Near or far, whatever we imagine,
Is enmeshed in you.
All thoughts are suffused with Thee.
A sweet smattering of your sandlepaste fragrance
From sandal trees in Your sandal grove,
Pervades the garden of paradise.
You've let us strip the sweetness.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomári hásite tomári báṋshiite
Bhuvana bhariyá rekhecho
Tomári álote diipashalákáte
Pradiipa jváláte balecho

Nikat́e vá dúre já kichu dekhe tháki
Tumi cháŕá ár kichu náhi dekhi
Nikat́e vá dúre já kichu bheve tháki
Sab bhávanáy tomári mákhámákhi
Tomári candane nandanavane
Mádhurii chaŕáye diyecho

Rúpera deule arúpa sádhanáte
Shońáo tava dhvani divasa nishiithe
Áṋdhára náshiyá marme pashiyá
Báṋdhana saráye niyecho

With Your smile, with Your flute,
You keep pleasing the world.
With matchsticks of Your splendor,
You've let us light our lanterns.

Near or far, whatever we perceive,
Other than You, nothing else we see.
Near or far, whatever we imagine,
All thoughts are suffused with Thee.
From sandal trees in Your sandal grove,
You've let us strip the sweetness.

In this temple of forms
Throughout days and nights
You play your eternal sound
Adoring the formless divine.
Dispelling darkness
You pierce the secret cavern of my mind
And shatter the tethers of its bondages.
