O lord,
Because of You, punishment is dressed in flowers;
for you i, decorated my altar,
Just for You, the tress of hair is braided.
For you i, tressed.
For Your sake, strung is the wreath of jasmine;
For you i, threaded a garland of malati flowers
And for You, the tune is practiced.
and rehearsed my melody.

I thought of you on moonlit nights
On moonlit nights are Your words considered;
and kept my light glowing on dark nights.
On dark days, a ray of light is kindled.
On autumn morns, [[:wikipedia:Nyctanthes arbor-tristis|jasmine]] collected,
With a strand of love, the garland is threaded.
For the sake of You only, gazing at path anxiously,
Sitting alone are those who laugh and weep.

On a cool post-winter morning,
In me You are cherished, but You've gone and forgot;
using the white and fragrant autumnal shefa'li flower,
From mind, myself You have dropped and mopped.
I threaded my garland with the twine of love.
I won't forget, no, I will not expunge

In this life, whatever obstacle may come.
I had eagerly awaited you,
sitting in solitude,
at times crying,
at times laughing.

O dear one, you forgot me
and wiped me fron your mind.

But i will never forget you,
I will never remove you from my mind
whatever obstruction may arise in my life.

Tomari tare phulasaje saja is the 1415th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomári tare phulasáje sájá
Tomári tarei veńii báṋdhá
(Tomári lágiyá) málatii málá gáṋthá
Tomári lágiyá sur sádhá

(Jyotsná nishiithe) tomár kathá bhává
Krśńá tithite álo jválá
Shárada prabháte cayita shepháliite
Priitir d́or diye gáṋthá málá
(Tomári lágiyá) vyákul patha cáoyá
Vijane basiyá hásá káṋdá

(Ámáy tumi priya) bhuliyá giyácho
Man theke more muchiyá phelecho
Ámi bhulibo ná ámi muchibo ná
Jiivane ásuk jata bádhá

Because of You, punishment is dressed in flowers;
Just for You, the tress of hair is braided.
For Your sake, strung is the wreath of jasmine;
And for You, the tune is practiced.

On moonlit nights are Your words considered;
On dark days, a ray of light is kindled.
On autumn morns, jasmine collected,
With a strand of love, the garland is threaded.
For the sake of You only, gazing at path anxiously,
Sitting alone are those who laugh and weep.

In me You are cherished, but You've gone and forgot;
From mind, myself You have dropped and mopped.
I won't forget, no, I will not expunge
In this life, whatever obstacle may come.
