Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi ámáy niye ele
E kon alakáy
Mádhurii bhare dile
Hiyá jamunáy

Chalachala ucchala priitir jamuná jala
Áṋkhipáte ujjvala amarári kajjvala
Nandita hrdimájhe nitya nútana sáje
Rájá haye ele e kon mathuráy

Bhúlok dyulok sab tuccha kariyá dile
Spandita hrdákáshe sudhádhárá d́hele dile
Mohan báṋshiir táne lokátiita e kii gáne
Ápan kariyá nile áji ámáy

O lord,
taking me with you,
what a heavenly sweetness
have you filled the river of my heart with?

To which mathura'
did the vibrating love of this yamuna river,
the white and heavenly mark on my eyes,
amidst a joyful heart,
in ever new adornments,
arrive like a king?

You diminished the earth and the heaven,
to fit into the vibrating firmament of my heart.
You poured forth a flow of nectar.
At the pull of your enchanting flute,
with a heavenly song,
You have today made me your own.
