Tumi ele na, diner pare din je gelo is the 2148th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi ele ná
Diner pare din je gelo
Samay tomár halo ná

Seje tháká halo vrthá
Tilak candan málá gánthá
Chande báṋdhá kata kathá
Bhará rasaná

Dilum sabe jaláiṋjali
Mohan ráge arghya d́áli
Maner madhuratá d́háli
Ebár eso ná

You arrived not...
Day after day elapsed,
But the time You had not.

Vain was the staying dressed up,
Sandal tilak, garland strung...
So many words composed in rhythm,
Filling the tongue.

To all I gave a palm of water,[nb 2]
With hues charming is the tray offered in worship.
The sweetness of mind I lavish;
This time don't You come?

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ Jaláiṋjali is the ceremonial offering of a handful (or both hands full) of water to the deceased. In a figurative sense this line might symbolize a total detachment from the world (mind turned to God).
