Áshá niráshár je kuyáshá chilo
Sab chápiye álo jválile

Je bhay bhránti lukáno chilo
Álasya klánti bhará chilo
Je ashánti dahitechilo
Práńer parashe tá sarále

তুমি এলে তুমি এলে
বিশ্বভুবনে দোলা দিলে
তুমি এলে

মনেতে মোর যে আশা ছিল
গানেতে মোর যে ভাষা ছিল
আশা-নিরাশার যে কুয়াশা ছিল
সব ছাপিয়ে আলো জ্বালিলে

যে ভয়-ভ্রান্তি লুকানো ছিল
আলস্য-ক্লান্তি ভরা ছিল
যে অশান্তি দহিতেছিল
প্রাণের পরশে তা' সরালে

The expectations that were in my heart;
The statements that were in my song;
The fog of hope and despair that was...
You lit the light, cloaking it all.

The fear and false beliefs that were concealed
