Adhivása kare jug jug dhare base áchi
Citter ávilatá já peyechi saráyechi
Mánasa kusume tava vedii sájáyechi
Tumi eso he shucitama

Sájáno phuler pápŕiguli jhare geche
Phuler máláguli shukáiyá geche
Nidághe maner madhu vishuśka hayeche
Varaśár dháráte eso parjjanya mama

তুমি এসো মম জীবনের মূলে প্রিয়তম

অধিবাস করে’ যুগ যুগ ধরে’ বসে’ আছি
চিত্তের আবিলতা যা’ পেয়েছি সরায়েছি
মানস কুসুমে তব বেদী সাজায়েছি
তুমি এসো হে শুচিতম

সাজানো ফুলের পাপড়িগুলি ঝরে’ গেছে
ফুলের মালাগুলি শুকাইয়া গেছে
নিদাঘে মনের মধু বিশুষ্ক হয়েছে
বরষার ধারাতে এসো পর্জ্জন্য মম

come into the root of my life.
How much i aspire to have you close!
O unique one,
fulfil that hope of mine!

Aspiring for you,
I eagerly wait,
age after age,
removing all the restlessness of my mind,
and decorating your altar with mental flowers.

Come,
O purest one,
most pious one!

The petals and flowers of decoration
have now all withered away.
My floral garland has dried up.

In the intense heat,
my mental honey has evaporated.

Come, like the flow of rain,
O my own…
