Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

(Tumi) Káche thekeo kata dúre
Dhará náhi dáo ámáre
Jadio jáni ácho ghire

Aruń ráge pái tomáre
Vibhávariir vakśa cire
Áshár álo násho kálo
Spandita chande sure

Tomár sauṋge mor paricay
Ek janamer kathá se to nay
Pávár tare ashru jhare
Kál theke kálántare

O lord, even though remaining nearest,
how much away you are.
you do not come into my fold
even if i know that you surround me.
i find you in the crimson colour of the dawn,
piercing through the bosom of the night.
with the ray of hope, destroy the darkness
vibrating with rhythm and melody.
my introduction with you
is not an event of one life only.
for attaining you era after era
tears have dropped.
