Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

(Áji) Vasanta pavane liiláyita carańe
Nece jái nece jái jharańá sama
Nirmegha gagane aiṋjita nayane
Eṋke jái eṋke jái mádhurii mama

(Áj) Egiye cali tava chande
Surabhita hai tava gandhe
Hásiyá beŕái ánande
Raiṋjita kari patha kiḿshukaraiṋjane
Tava lági antaratama

(Áj) Egiye caláy náhi báṋdhá
Mor hiyá tava háre gáṋthá
Mor gán tava sure sádhá
Áj pikatáne madhugáne sab kichu mor
(Bhese jáy) Bhese jáy jár páne
Táke namo namo namah

Today, on the spring wind, with lilting feet,
Like waterfall, dancing I proceed.
With painted eyes, on cloudless sky
I keep tracing the sweetness that is mine.

Today, I move ahead in Your cadence;
I am fragrant with Your scent.
Laughing, I stroll about in happiness,
The path I color with the hue of kinshuk flower,[nb 2]
For Your sake, my One most intimate.

Today, for progress there is no obstruction...
My heart is strung into Your necklace;
To Your tune my song is practiced.
Today my all, with sweet notes of cuckoo's call–
It flows in Whose direction...
To the One offered obeisance.
