Vrajer kanu abar ki re is the 1251st song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Vrajer kánu ábár ki re
Phire ela vrndávane
Gopiir vyathá práńer kathá
Nútan kare paŕla mane

Jamuná áj ujáne bay
Práńocchváse se[nb 2] udvel hay
Sońár cikur siṋkhir mayúr
Kotháy gela kei bá jáne

Madhuvane átmahárá
Gopii bháver nayantárá
Kuiṋjavane priitipuiṋje
Chaŕiye gela maner końe

Could it be that kanu of vraja
again came back to vrinda'vana?

The agonies and inner feelings of the milkmaids,
came into mind in a new way.

The river yamuna' is flowing a reverse flow
and is becoming restless with outburst.

The peacock with golden hair went away.
No one knows where.

They all spread love in abundance,
in arbours
and in each corner of mind.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ The word se does not appear in either the Bangla or Roman script sources. But as it is sung in the audio rendition and it does not change the sense of the line, it is included here.
