Amar marma majhare prabhu is the 2706th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ámár marma májháre prabhu
(Prabhu) Álor nimantrań (tava)
Tuccha haleo tomári je ámi
Karo ná vismarań

Bhúdhare ságare gaganer gáye
Áloker chat́á diyecho chaŕáye
Se chat́ári ek kańiká peye
Ámár e jágarań

Asti bháti ánandamer
Varśań-snáta smita kadamer
Ketakiir bháśá priiti paráger
Suśama uttarań

Lord, my soul's core amid,
Yours is light's invitation.
Vile though I be, I am Yours only;
Don't behave oblivious.

Atop mountain, in the sea, and on sky's body,
You have scattered luster's beauty.
Getting just a single speck of that gleam only,
This is how I'm made conscious.

Of existence-progress-happiness,
Of blooming kadams rain-cleansed,
The screwpine's[nb 2] language of love's pollen,
An exquisitely fine ascension.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ The analogy of a screwpine works on many levels. The screwpine is a palm-like tree with a drooping appearance. The tree is dioecious in nature, that is, the male and female flowers grow on separate trees (and, hence, the screwpine symbolizes intense yearning). Moreover, the screwpine grows fastest where there is heavy rainfall and is somewhat unusual in that it is water-pollinating (as opposed to animal- or air-pollinating).
