Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áṋdhár ráte álor jhilik tumi
Meghlá dine phot́á svarńashatadal
Vyathita hiyáy áshár varatá tumi
Bhagna práńe candraloke jhalamal

Kata bár háráyechi ábár phire peyechi
Kata kleshe káṋdiyáchi haraśe punah hesechi
Tumi cháŕá gán nái tumi cháŕá práń nái
Tumi cháŕá kichu nái e dharára sambal

Rauṋiin nimeśe ásiyácho ráj veshe
Punah cale gecho dúre ámáre kauṋgál kare
Ábár vipade more bhálabásá diye ghire
Dúr kariyácho vyathá mucháyecho áṋkhijal

You are a flash of light on my dark nights,
On cloudy days, a golden lotus fully open.
When I am heartbroke, You are words of hope,
In my shattered life, a glittering paradise.

Often I've been lost, and then managed back to come;
I have cried in such pain, and then laughed in joy once more.
There's no song, there's no life, without Thee...
Without You, I have no supplies on this earthly journey.

In an instant brilliant, You arrived dressed like a king;
You then went to a far place, leaving me hankering.
Once again at time of need, with love swathing me,
You have sent pain away, tears You've wiped off.
