Álor enecho ván
Keu jáneni keu bojheni
Keu kareni anumán

Dehe mane bháve áṋdháre
Mánuś ghumiye chilo andhakáre
Sabár mukhe dile álo d́hele
Mohanidrár halo avasán

Phuler máláy ár madhura doláy
Káler játrápathe mayúkhamáláy
Tumi nije ele path dekhále
Rekhe gele stháyii avadán

আঁধারে তুমি আঁধারে এসেছ
আলোর এনেছ বান
কেউ জানেনি কেউ বোঝেনি
কেউ করেনি অনুমান

দেহে-মনে-ভাবে আঁধারে
মানুষ ঘুমিয়ে ছিল অন্ধকারে
সবার মুখে দিলে আলো ঢেলে
মোহনিদ্রার হ'ল অবসান

ফুলের মালায় আর মধুর দোলায়
কালের যাত্রাপথে ময়ূখমালায়
তুমি নিজে এলে পথ দেখালে
রেখে গেলে স্থায়ী অবদান

In darkness, You have come in darkness;
A flood of light You have brought.
No one knew, no one understood;
Nobody guessed.

In the dark with body, mind, and spirit,
Gloomy, the humankind was aslumber.
On the face of everyone light-rays You lavished;
Termination of a sleep delusory happened.

With a floral wreath and a pleasant swing,
Like a garland of beams on a temporal journey,
Yourself You came, the way You did exhibit;
You maintained a lasting accomplishment.
