Bandhu gao gao gao madhugiiti is the 26th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2][3]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Bandhu gáo gáo gáo madhugiiti
Tandrá bheuṋge dio
Bandhu cáo cáo cáo niravadhi
Ogo priya ati priya

Áji práńer jaŕimá ket́e geche
Maner suśamá bhare geche
(Áj) Tomár chande madhuniśyande
Ámáke nútan kare nio

(Áj) Alakár srote álokanipát́e
Lokátiita bháve bhare dio

Abiding Friend, Your ambrosial song please sing;
Kindly shatter my deep sleep.
Abiding Friend, gaze at me incessantly,
Oh my beloved, my dearest dear.

Today, severed is life's lethargy;
Mind's exquisite beauty filled its place.
Now, by Your whim, with cascade of honey,
Kindly take and remake me.

Now, in seamless light, in heaven's stream,
Pack me with transcendent feeling.

Purport

This is how Sarkar himself described the meaning of the song—[4]

Paramapuruśa is the greatest friend. The degree of bondage is greatest in crude matter where consciousness is dormant. So, oh Lord, please sing Your blissful songs and rouse me from this slumber of staticity. Let me proceed towards Your effulgence. Let the supramental waves elevate this entire material world to the Supreme Stratum, and let me rise above this material world and come in close contact with You. I want this blessing from You, my Supreme Guide, my Paramapuruśa.
