Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Bhálabáso ki ná jáni ná
Jáni shudhu sauṋge tháko
Vyathá bojho ki ná bujhi ná
Jáni more marme d́áko

Jabe ghanaghor áṋdháre
Dekhite ná pái nijere
Dekhi maneri májháre
Álo cháŕá tháko náko

Báhire tomáre khuṋji
Báhirei satata púji
Ceye dekhi áṋkhi buji
Ańu paramáńute jágo

O Lord, I do not know whether You love me or not.
I only know that You ever accompany me.
I do not know whether You understand my pain or not,
but I know that You call me in the core of my heart.
When in Cimmerian darkness, I am unable to see myself;
I observe that in my heart
there is nothing other than You as effulgence.
I search You in the external world
and ever worship You only outside.
But on closing the eyes, I visualize
that You are ever awake in each atom and molecule.
