Je path dekhále tumi
Balo tár sheś kotháy

Path caleche sumukhe
Áṋdháre pichane rekhe
Úśár kirań mekhe
Jiivane bhariyá sudháy

Tumi more balechile
Sheś ádir kathá bhule
Nitya dháme je dole
Dharo táre bhávanáy

ছলছল চোখে আমি
রলিয়াছিলাম তোমায়
যে পথ দেখালে তুমি
বলো তার শেষ কোথায়

পথ চলেছে সুমুখে
আঁধারে পিছনে রেখে'
ঊষার কিরণ মেখে'
জীবনে ভরিয়া সুধায়

তুমি মোরে বলেছিলে
শেষ-আদির কথা ভুলে'
নিত্য ধামে যে দোলে
ধরো তারে ভাবনায়

I with teary eyes,
Yourself had I been asking:
"The path You brought to light,
Where its end is, kindly reveal."

"The road has gone straight ahead.
Leaving behind the darkness,
A ray of dawn is getting coated;
Living with ambrosia is fulfilling.

"Unto Me a question you had set.
Forgetting the topic of start-and-end,
He Who rocks the cradle is ever resident;
To contemplating Him do cling."
