Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

D́eke jái sáŕá náhi pái
Eki kat́hin hrday kat́hin hrday
Kabhu káche áso kabhu dúre háso
Eki liilá eki abhinay

Nrtyer tále bháso uttále
Úrmimáláy jaladhiri jale
Jiivan dolár kúle upakúle
Tomár mádhurii kathá kay

Sab juge ácho ácho sab kále
Háráno smrtite akálera bhále
Bháve o abháve sabákár múle
Tava priitidhárá mishe ray

O Lord, I go on calling You,
but I never get any response.
What a tough heart is Yours?
Sometimes You come close
and sometimes You go on smiling,
from distance. What type of drama
or divine play, liila’ is this?
With the melody and rhythm of the dance,
You go on floating high,
upon series of tidal wave
in the ocean- water.
From the shores of ups and downs
of oscillations in life,
Your sweetness tells about You.
You are present in all ages,
all the time. You are also present
in those memories which have
untimely already faded away.
You are ever-present at the root of everything,
manifested or not manifested,
submerging in the flow of love.
