Balechile dharáy tháko
Ámi tomár sauṋge áchi
Cáite kichui habe náko

Diner álor sáthe sáthe
Ut́hbe mete kájer srote
Rátri ele cáṋder sáthe
Gán gáiteo bhulo náko

Tomáy bhule dharáy tháki
Et́ái tomár cáoyá ná ki
Ámár káje ámár gáne
Priitir parág tumio mákho

ধরার বাঁধন দিয়েছিলে
বলেছিলে ধরায় থাকো
আমি তোমার সঙ্গে আছি
চাইতে কিছুই হবে নাকো

দিনের আলোর সাথে সাথে
উঠবে মেতে’ কাজের স্রোতে
রাত্রি এলে চাঁদের সাথে
গান গাইতেও ভুলো নাকো

তোমায় ভুলে’ ধরায় থাকি
এটাই তোমার চাওয়া না কি
আমার কাজে আমার গানে
প্রীতির পরাগ তুমিও মাখো

"On Earth you live," You'd informed.
"Along with you do I abide;
There won't be a thing to yen for.

"Ever with the day's light-beams
Will rise a frenzied work-stream.
When night is come with moon along,
Don't neglect also to sing a song."
