Ámi mor jiivane

Áṋdháre tumi álo
Básite jáno bhálo
Ná bale krpá d́hálo
Ráte dine

Dúre tháko ná kabhu
Ámii dekhi ni prabhu
Ghire ácho tabu bhávi ni manane
Dekhi ni kuyáshá d́háká nayane

এসেছিলে তুমি প্রাণে মনে
তোমায় চেয়েছিলুম
আমি মোর জীবনে

আঁধারে তুমি আলো
বাসিতে জান ভালো
না বলে' কৃপা ঢাল
রাতে দিনে

দূরে থাক না কভু
আমিই দেখি নি প্রভু
ঘিরে' আছ তবু ভাবি নি মননে
দেখি নি কুয়াশা-ঢাকা নয়নে

You'd arrived in heart and mind;
For You had I hankered,
I in my life.

You are the light amid obscurity;
You know how to hold dear.
You pour out unasked mercy
By day and by night.

You don't ever stay afar;
Only I saw not, Lord.
You're around, but no thought had I;
I did not see with fog-covered eyes.
