Fighting at Each and Every Step is a discourse given by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti. This discourse is the fourth chapter of Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 34.^[1]

Synopsis

You have to follow the mahájanas [practical people]. And these mahájanas are the vanguard of spirituality. They are the pioneers of spirituality. You have to move along their path. This path is the subjective approach. In this approach, while moving along the path of supreme subjectivity, you must not neglect the world. You have to serve each and every object of this universe by ascribing Náráyańa-hood [Godhood] to them. You are in the midst of so many minute expressions of Náráyańa. Each and every expression is Náráyańa in a particular form, Náráyańa in a particular shape, Náráyańa in a particular style. You are to serve them, and this serving of Náráyańa in human form is your objective adjustment, and your movement towards the Non-Attributional Supreme Puruśa is your subjective approach

Shrii Shrii Anandamurti

Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that Tantra means liberating the mind through its all round expansion. Anandamurti then says that when a spiritual aspirant makes an effort to enlarge her/his mind, two antagonistic forces (demeaning versus pure and uplifting) show up within and without the mind, in every sphere of existence. The spiritual aspirant will have to wage a war against all debasing forces. Anandamurti goes on explaining that a spiritual aspirant is a practical person whose approach is subjective: moving towards Paramátman (Supreme Soul). The best way to subjectively adjust to the world is by serving the many expressions of Parama Purusa.^[1]
