Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ghora timiraghana niviŕa nishiithe
Tumi esechile priya khule mor dvár
Baddha ghare chinu ruddha vátáyane
Padadhvani tái ámi shunini tomár

Ákáshe megher ghat́á hrdaye álor chat́á
Báhire bhaerav náciche chaŕáye jat́á
Ei pariveshe tumi mor káche ele námi
Nimeśe sariye dile jata kleshabhár

Cidákáshe mor jata kálo megh jamechilo
Kaomudii kirańe kotháy háriye gelo
Dúre gelo upahás jata diirghashvás
Ańu pelo áshvás tava karuńár

O Dear Lord, in the intensely dark night,
in seclusion, You entered opening my doors.
I was in closed doors with shut windows,
thus I could not hear Your footsteps.
In the sky there were dense clouds
and within heart luster of light.
Outside the god of death was dancing
with spread tuft of hair.
Under such an environment, You came down close to me
and within moment removed all burden of my pains.
All the dark clouds that were accumulated
within the firmament of my mind
vanished with the moonlight.
All taunts and sighs went away
and the microcosm got the consolation of Your mercy.
