Iishán końete beje ut́heche viśáń
Kii kathá se balite cáy
He rudra bhaerava kena nececho
Kampane ulká jharáy

Táńd́ava náco pápe náŕá diye
Badhir álor rath áge báŕiye
Kii je karo kena karo maheshvar
Ná bujhe avák áṋkhi shudhu dekhe jáy

Jat́ájál khule phele báṋdhanhárá
Hayecho prabhu tumi chandabhará
Nrtyer tále tále egiye cale
Je dhvani jágále táte jyoti jhalakáy

ঈশান কোণেতে বেজে' উঠেছে বিষাণ
কী কথা সে বলিতে চায়
হে রুদ্র ভৈরব কেন নেচেছ
কম্পনে উল্কা ঝরায়

তাণ্ডব নাচো পাপে নাড়া দিয়ে
বধির আলোর রথ আগে বাড়িয়ে
কী যে কর কেন কর মহেশ্বর
না বুঝে' অবাক আঁখি শুধু দেখে' যায়

জটাজাল খুলে' ফেলে' বাঁধনহারা
হয়েছ প্রভু তুমি ছন্দভরা
নৃত্যের তালে তালে এগিয়ে চলে
যে ধ্বনি জাগালে তাতে জ্যোতি ঝলকায়

Sounding from the northeast corner, a horn has arisen;
What are the words it wants to speak?
Hey Shiva the Destroyer, what's the reason You have danced?
Shooting stars You make plummet, trembling.

You are dancing tandava, vice having jolted,
Propelling a deaf luster's chariot ahead.
What You do and why, oh the great Lord Shiva–
Uncomprehending, stunned eyes merely go on watching.

Mass of matted locks left unbound, open and unrestricted,
Master, You've become filled with rhythm.
On dance's each musical beat, it goes forth,
The sound that roused; in it light is flashing.
