Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Jakhani bhávi (Kichu cini bujhi)
Dekhi ámi kichu jáni ná ámi jáni ná
Jabe pathe návi pátheya khuṋji
Kii khuṋji bujhite pári ná

Kon se atiite ajánár srote
Bhásiyá calechi dúre dúr hate
Ajánár khoṋje ghure dine ráte
Kena je ghumái bujhi ná

He karuńámay eki khelá tava
Kśudrake niye liilá abhinava
Ańur sauṋge bhúmár e liilá
Calite páre ki balo ná

O Lord, whenever I think that I have known
and understood You a bit, I observe that
I do not know anything, absolutely nothing.
When I come to the path and look for
the means of the journey,
I do not understand what to seek.
Since unknown past, in the unknown stream,
I go on floating far and further.
Even after searching the unknown,
wandering day and night, I do not understand
why do I wander. O the Merciful,
what is Your divine play, liila’,
You play with this meager in new ways.
How this game of the Cosmic with microcosm
would continue? Tell me.
