Anandamurti starts the discourse by explaining the difference between two concepts: Kśara and Akśara. The first refers to the creative entity and the latter to the unchanging Puruśa. He then introduces a third entity called Nirakśara Brahma. Nirakśara Brahma is also called Taraka Brahma – the point having control over both. Anandamurti goes on explaining that through sádhaná (spiritual effort) we should withdraw all our propensities and goad them unto that one tangential point, that this is the only way to get liberation from Vishvamáyá.
- Though the title given to this discourse by the editors is "Liberation from Visnumaya", the topic is clearly "Liberation from Vishvamaya". Hence, the title of the discourse appears to have been poorly chosen.
