Práńer parash diye
Haraśe bhuvan bhariye dile
Práńer sarasatáte
Mánavatáy púrńatá ene dile

Járá andha tamisráy ghumiyechilo
Tárá cokhe jyotir choṋyá pelo
(Táder) Jugántarer ghum bháuṋgiye dile

Járá hatásháy nirásháy goṋácchilo
Tárá báṋcár jiiyankát́hi peye gelo
(Táder) Calár pather pátheya dile

প্রাণের পরশ দিয়ে
হরষে ভুবন ভরিয়ে দিলে
প্রাণের সরসতাতে
মানবতায় পূর্ণতা এনে’ দিলে

যারা অন্ধ তমিস্রায় ঘুমিয়েছিল
তারা চোখে জ্যোতির ছোঁয়া পেল
(তাদের) যুগান্তরের ঘুম ভাঙ্গিয়ে দিলে

যারা হতাশায় নিরাশায় গোঙাচ্ছিল
তারা বাঁচার জীয়নকাঠি পেয়ে গেল
(তাদের) চলার পথের পাথেয় দিলে

The touch of life having given,
With delight the world You filled.
Then through life's succulence,
To humanity You brought completion.

Those who'd been asleep in utter darkness,
In their eyes light's strike was felt;
Their age-old slumber was broken.

Those who'd moaned in dejection hopeless,
They went and got the wand of resurrection;[nb 2]
You bestowed their trip's travel expenses.
