O lord, when you had come,
When this path originated, You had come;
the lane of arrival path was full of bakul flowers.
The vista was awash with blossoms.
by fragrance the mind got intoxicated
Frenzied by the scent, psyche had risen up;
and flow of songs started floating.
Afloat had been a poetic current.
That lane is still there

but the dropped flower petals are mixed with dust,
That [[wikipedia:Mimusops elengi|bakul]]-lane, still today it is crossed;
the fragrance has disappeared
But with dust have mixed floral petals cast off.
and all have forgotten what was there.
Unto where is going, vanishing, the aroma?
but the bakul tree is still surviving
Everyone has forgot what indeed had been.
and it goes on crying carrying the history.

the lane wet with water
The bakul trees until today are living;
goes on singing that
With history, they have gone on weeping.
not a single body is left.
Tear-soaked, the avenue, it has kept singing:
Is there not a one, did no one persist?
