He's left saying He'll reappear; My Sweetheart came not again. In dream He had been near, That same distant friend. He simply took my everything, And in return He gave me nothing. In my mental bud, as much sweetness as was there, With Him He took it all, myself leaving empty. Hope's lamp He lit while going... Was it His duplicity? Even today, recalling this, my heart arises, musing: Does He truly love me, near to me is He coming? I will not cherish Him nor will I talk of Him; But to keep ignoring Him, that I cannot do. In dream He had been near. He's left saying He'll reappear; My Shining One, He came no more.
