Sońáli álo jhariyá paŕeche
Tomár sharańe tomár carańe
Jágiyáche práń he bhagaván
Tumi dáo sáŕá dáo bheuṋge kárá
Karáo sabáre áloka snán

Diirgha pratiikśár pare ele
Sab kalmaś dúre saráile
Sakal kálimá mucháiyá dile
Marme jágále dharmera t́án

Jug jugánte chila ajánte
Bhávajaŕatáy kále kálánte
Tomár parashe hárála nimeśe
Bhásála táháre priitira ván

তমসার নিশা দূরে সরে’ গেছে
সোণালী আলো ঝরিয়া পড়েছে
তোমার শরণে তোমার চরণে
জাগিয়াছে প্রাণ হে ভগবান
তুমি দাও সাড়া দাও ভেঙ্গে’ কারা
করাও সবারে আলোক-স্নান

দীর্ঘ প্রতীক্ষার পরে এলে
সব কল্মষ দূরে সরাইলে
সকল কালিমা মুছাইয়া দিলে
মর্মে জাগালে ধর্মের টান

যুগ যুগান্তে ছিল অজান্তে
ভাবজড়তায় কালে কালান্তে
তোমার পরশে হারাল নিমেষে
ভাসাল তাহারে প্রীতির বান

The night of darkness has receded greatly,
Golden light-rays, they have been cascading.
Underneath Your shelter, at Your feet,
Life arises, hey Divine One!
You give answers, You break prisons;
You make everybody bathe in splendor.

After long awaiting, finally You came;
And every sin You sent far away.
All the gloom, You erased;
In mind's core You stirred dharmic attraction.

Unbeknownst, age after age had passed,
Stuck in dogma, time and again.
At Your touch, it vanished in an instant;
Love's flood set that dogma adrift.
