The Glory of Pranava is a discourse given by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti on 1978 September 6 in Patna, India. This discourse is the 35th chapter of Ananda Vacanamrtam Part 1.[1]
Synopsis
Here something has been said regarding the glory of Prańava. Pra – ńa – va. That is, the entity that helps you in moving towards your goal, in moving towards the nucleus of the cosmos, is called Prańava. Prańava means movement.
Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that Prańava is the movement which leads human beings toward self realization. He then explains that in this movement it is necessary to seek self-knowledge (Veda), undergo suffering to achieve the goal (Tapah), long for the Supreme (Icchantum), and see everyone and everything as an expression of Brahma (Brahmacaryaiṋcaranti). Anandamurti goes on explaining the meaning of the controlling word Aum.[1]
