Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomáke ceyechi kena náhi jáni
Ceyechi shudhu ei jáni
Tumi jáno ki
Dharáte esechi kena bujhi ná
Esechi bujhi o máni
Tumi enecho ki

Jiivan dule jáy bhuvanadoláy
Bháver dolnáy madhula máyáy
Thámá náhi jáy piche ná cáoyá jáy
E liiláy jukti áche ki

Aḿshumáliir he cira aḿshu
Támasa manane tumi sitáḿshu
Tomáke bhule tháká vasane áṋkhi d́háká
E vaeduśya nay ki pháṋki

I have wanted You, I don't know the reason;
I have craved, this alone am I aware of.
Are You informed?
I've arrived upon Earth, the why I don't comprehend;
I have come– I understand and honor.
Is it that You have brought?

In a cosmic cradle, life goes on swaying,
On hammock of thought, with whiskeyed fantasies.
No looking back achieves, and pause does not succeed;
To this divine game is there reason?

Ever the sun's ray, halloo,
Within gloomy thinking You are the moon.
Yourself forgotten is staying blindfolded;
This book-learning, is it not deception?
